Technical Error Halts Vietnamese Bourse

A technical glitch has made Vietnam's Chi Minh City Stock Exchange unable to conduct trading sessions from May 27-28, according to local newspaper Vietnam News on Wednesday.
The exchange's management board was unable to give further information about the nature of the technical error, but they promised to fix the problem and restore normal trading as soon as possible.
Vietnam's stock market index, VN-Index, remains at Monday's level of 420.51. A total of 5,156,372 stocks worth 313.051 billion Vietnamese dong (VND) (19.57 million U.S. dollars) changed hands on Monday.
Vietnam currently has 151 kinds of listed shares, 375 kinds of listed bonds, mostly government bonds, and three listed investment funds totaling 102,150 billion VND (6.38 billion dollars), according to the latest statistics from the country's State Securities Commission.
